A weekend at the beach

It's the start of the rainy season so we decided to head to the beach (I know that's a bit non sequitur but a lot of things are a bit non sequitur in Cambodia). Actually, it was because it was a long weekend for the King's birthday (it's actually the "new" king's birthday, but we're not supposed to call him that. Many of the government employees get Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off).

Here is my one shot of the beach at Kompong Som, also known as Sihanoukeville (named after the old King).

The rest of our time was spent eating or looking at eviction sites of which there are many in Kompong Som - I guess where there's beach, there's high priced land, even in Cambodia.
