Birthday tidings
Slowly but surely catching up on events in December.
We were down in Launceston for my grandmother's 90th birthday celebration- the first of 3. She will have 2 more, one on her actual birth day in February and another for friends and family in Sydney. Unfortunately, we cannot be there.
This one was held by my uncle Greg and it was a lavish event requiring at least two full days of food and music preparation (not to mention the pre-preparation preparation) - I have the minute to minute schedule to prove it.
Anyway, it was a fabulous success from the crayfish to the G&S renditions. My Khmer wedding outfit (a hand sewn made to measure creation costing me the princely sum of $26) received a lot of praise.
I think my grandmother was pleased and I'm glad we went.
